Course Information
This program teaches the use of the
EAI specific flat rate pricing software that is provided
free of cost to members. The participant will be taught
how to use the templates to customize their own flat rate
program for their area. In addition,
they will be shown the proper methods and training for service
techs to best utilize this in the home. You will be issued
a computer CD that includes the complete EAI Flat Rate program.
You will create sample pages and understand the methodologies
and formulas behind the flat rate process. In addition,
you will be taught through both discussion and role play
the proper service technician sales techniques to maximize
revenue and sales.
- Create your own customized flat
rate manual based on your area
- Learn the sales techniques that will put more money in
both your pockets and that of your service technicians
- Understand how to earn more $'s by walking away from some
50% gross margin jobs and taking a job at a 25% gross margin
- Receive and review an actual HVAC chart of accounts that
you could use immediately in your business
- Understand how to recognize non-standard revenue sources
such as service agreements, earned estimates, etc
- Learn how to challenge your accountant through a thorough
understading of standard accounting practices
Instructor Information

David Dombrowski is a licensed HVAC
Contractor in the State of North Carolina. As an 18-year
veteran of the industry, David is currently a member of
the Management Team for the HVAC/Plumbing Division, representing
revenues in excess of $50 million, of a Fortune 500 Company.
Prior to this position, he was the Corporate Manager involved
with operations, retail, sales, acquisitions, and training
for Metro Heating & Air Conditioning, and the winner of
the 1997 National Contractor of the Year Award. David was
the primary internal consultant and an original member of
the Service America team. He is a state certified "continuing
education and license renewal instructor" for heating, plumbing,
electrical and fire sprinkler license holders.
John Turnage - John is the owner
and President of Umpire Technologies Group; a sitting member
of the Continuing Education Advisory Committee for the North
Carolina State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating &
Fire Sprinkler Contractors; and a North Carolina State Board
approved provider and instructor for Continuing Education
and Disciplinary Action Courses. A graduate engineer with
a BS in Mechanical Engineering, John holds multiple HVAC
licenses in North Carolinaas well as Plumbing and Electrical
licenses. In addition, he is a Certified Indoor Environmentalist
with the Indoor Air Quality Association, Inc. and holds
a Universal EPA Certification. Prior to starting Umpire
Technologies John was on the management team of Metro Heating
and Air Conditioning, which was awarded the 1997 National
Residential Contractor Of The Year by Contracting Business
magazine. During his 20 plus years in the HVAC, Plumbing,
and Electrical industries John has managed Commercial, Residential,
Service, and Add/On Replacement revenue centers for Metro
and was a Regional IT Manager for a Fortune 500 Company.
This unique combination of skills and perspective allows
John to formulate effective operational solutions by integrating
today's
technology with the day-to-day needs of contractors.
