What computer system and software requirements are needed for using PEP?
Computer Requirements:
- Pentium 100Mhz Processor
- 16 Meg RAM (or higher)
- 50 Meg Hard Drive (available space)
- CD ROM Disk Drive
- Monitor Screen Resolution 800 x 600
- Laser Printer (4M memory recommended)
Software Requirements:
- Windows 95/98/2000/NT
- Microsoft Word® 2000 (for use with PEP-PM.doc)
- Microsoft Access® 2000
How do I install PEP?
- Download and review the 10-minute PEP Tutorial. Click here to download.
- Obtain the installation password by contacting EAI or clicking here.
Now that PEP is installed, what’s next?
- Access PEP and enter the password of sales (lowercase). A warning screen will appear the first time you run PEP. It requests the user define the path locations to the EAI database and Word 2000. Refer back to the tutorial to understand how to assign the database and Word paths.
- Next, enter information for the Contractor Data, Default Pricing Rates, and Default Mail Merge screens. These can be revised at any time within PEP.
- Review the tutorial a final time to discover how to enter an estimate and run the proposal.
